OUR PURPOSE
Theta Alpha Sigma is a Catholic based service and social sorority, which is founded on the premise of the following Six Core Elements:
Sisterhood
Academic Support
Emotional Support
Community Service
School Participation
Spiritual Growth
Theta Alpha Sigma encourages the development of true, lifelong sisterhood through social activities. Theta Alpha Sigma provides its members with full academic and emotional support through an internal support base, as well as referrals to tutoring and counseling. Theta Alpha Sigma is involved in community service projects and remains active within the campus community. It also fosters, develops, and enriches the Catholic (Christian) faith through prayer, retreats, and reflection. To achieve spiritual growth Theta Alpha Sigma upholds Five Essential Components: participating in a worship community, celebrating liturgical seasons, emphasizing spiritual and religious growth, reflecting a commitment to social justice, and maintaining social ties with the larger Catholic community.

OUR PHILANTHROPY
Theta Alpha Sigma is very passionate about helping women in every way possible. Our goal is to raise awareness of any issues pertaining to women whether it be self-image, domestic violence, or public safety.

We recognize the months of October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month and April as Sexual Assault Awareness Month. During these months we events to help raise awareness on issues that affect women (and all other individuals) around the world. Being a sorority who believes in fighting women's issues we hold these events to make sure we are providing the campus community with the knowledge that can empower and keep women safe. We also host events in collaboration with outside groups such as the Monterey County Rape Crisis Center and the YWCA of Monterey County.
Today, we provide a diverse, safe place for women to come together and work towards social change. Empowered Women, Empower Women.
